Freda D. CuevasWant to download Adobe Spark? We’ll explain how – and more importantly help you get it at the best price – and even for free.
Let’s be honest: we love Adobe apps, but most of them don’t come cheap. And in general, Adobe doesn’t seem to be a fan of giving them away for free. But there’s one big exception: Adobe Spark.
This cool software makes it easy to create graphics, web pages, and short videos for social media, easily and quickly. So whether you’re working in marketing full-time, or want to create some promotional content for your photography or side project to share on Facebook, Instagram and elesewhere, it’s a great tool to have. Particularly as the starter plan version is totally free, forever.
What is Adobe Spark?
Adobe Spark is a suite of three design apps: Spark Page, Spark Post, and Spark Video. You can access the whole suite via a web browser, or if you’re using an iPhone, through separate apps for each service.
To take each app in turn:
- Adobe Spark Page is a text and photo storytelling app. It combines word processing, desktop publishing, text editing and photo editing to help you produce typed or photo-edited stories.
- Adobe Spark Post is an app for creating social media graphics. It combines text editing, desktop publishing, vector editing and photo editing to help you produce social media posts.
- Adobe Spark Video is a video storytelling app that combines motion graphics, audio recording, music, text, and photos to help you produce short animated, narrated explainer videos.
These apps are not aimed at professional designers or video editors. Rather their purpose is to allow non-professionals to make slick looking content for social media, without the need for training. Plus there are lots of royalty-free templates, photos, images, fonts and icons to get you going, so you don’t have to design everything from scratch each time.

What’s the difference between the free and premium version of Adobe Spark?
The full version of Adobe Spark is a paid service that sits on top of the Starter Plan. This allows you access to a wider range of templates and other assets, so your designs are more likely to stand out on social media.
It also means that Adobe branding will not appear on the content you create. You can manage and update all your brand elements via a single portal. And you’ll get live phone and chat support, plus dedicated email support and access to forums.
The paid version of Adobe is included with every Creative Cloud plan, or you can buy it as a stand-alone plan, either on the Spark website or via in-app purchase in the Spark iOS apps.
