Mediacom is reporting a second outage has transpired leading to a disruption of support in Mid-Missouri.

A Mediacom spokeswoman mentioned broadband consumers in the northern and central MO spots of Jefferson Metropolis, Columbia and Excelsior Springs skilled an interruption to their net and cellular phone provider from 2:51 p.m. till 3:50 p.m.
Mediacom tweeted at about 3:30 p.m. that it knew about an outage and promised updates afterwards.
Phyllis Peters, with Mediacom, claims the outage was brought on by an electronics malfunction in a key network aggregation router in Des Moines, Iowa.
Mediacom tweeted about an hour later on that the difficulty had been mounted.
Peters claims in a release the outage was not heat related.
Officers say an electronic ingredient unsuccessful to induce the outage.
Crews with Mediacom and the part producer will investigate to make confident the failure does not bring about a foreseeable future outage.
The ABC 17 newsroom gained several reports from individuals whose provider was out at household. Quite a few sites described the outage was impacting a huge place of the Midwest and well-known online outage tracker Downdetector logged an uptick in experiences in the Columbia region and Jefferson City at about 3:30 p.m.
