The Shenzhen-based electronics manufacturer, Realme, has announced that it is launching its latest phones outside of China. The Realme 10 Pro series will come with a few features not typically seen in a low-end midrange phone.
Initially launched back in late November, the Realme 10 Pro series fall into the budget category, with the starting price of the Realme 10 Pro selling for $319 and the Realme 10 Pro Plus selling for $379. Despite that, both phones feature something surprising — a curved screen.
Normally reserved for high-end phones due to the cost of production, the 10 Pro series features an impressive 120Hz curved display. The company also boasts that the 10 Pro series has the “world’s highest” pulse width modulation (PWM) dimming at 2,160Hz. The emerging tech brand claims that its dimming efficiency is 4.5 times higher than the 480Hz found on most flagships. This leads to reduced screen flickering.
Another premium-like feature is the 108MP main rear camera. This shooter offers 3x zoom and can take night photos five times faster than the phone’s predecessor, according to Realme.
As for what’s powering these devices, the 10 Pro Plus gets a Mediatek Dimensity 1080 5G chipset, while the 10 Pro gets a Snapdragon 695 5G.
A few other notable features that appear in these phones include a 5,000mAh battery, up to 12GB of RAM, 800 nits of brightness, and 33W SuperVOOC wired charging.
If you’re interested in picking up a Realme 10 Pro for yourself, you’ll have your choice of three colors: Hyperspace, Nebula Blue, and Dark Matter.
